The Opioids and Pain European Network of Minds (OPENMinds) is a pan-European group of leading pain experts who specialise in the research and management of pain.

OPENMinds is funded by a grant from Mundipharma International Limited. Activities are developed and delivered in partnership with Mundipharma Limited who provide financial and technical support.

OPENMinds is committed to helping patients and their families, healthcare professionals and decision-makers increase their knowledge and understanding of pain to ensure that all patients receive an optimal standard of care.

OPENMinds was formed in 2002 with the objectives of:

  • helping to raise awareness of the under treatment of pain
  • improving the knowledge and understanding of pain
  • ensuring appropriate and responsible use of opioids
